London / Stuttgart / Tokyo – Daimler Trucks continues deliveries of the FUSO eCanter, its fully electric light-duty truck. Among the new customers is Calor, one of UK’s best-known gas suppliers. Emitting zero emissions, the FUSO eCanter is now delivering the company’s bottled butane and propane to customers in central London. Helping to reduce the environmental impact of delivery operations, the truck spends much of its time working inside the city’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) contributing to improving the city’s air quality.

Stuttgart – In the current situation, Daimler Trucks affiliate FUSO extends
their vehicle warranties to safeguard mobility for their customers in
Europe. Two months of additional coverage will be supported by FUSO
automatically for warranties expiring between the period of March 15th to
May 15th, 2020. This program will be offered in all European markets.

Dublin / Stuttgart / Tokyo – The world’s first all-electric light truck has added yet another European city as its home turf. Since March 2020, two FUSO eCanter are now operating in the Irish capital Dublin for the country’s post service An Post. With the handover in Dublin, the FUSO eCanter is now running in ten European cities in Germany, the UK, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland.

eCanter has arrived in Scandinavia - Europe's leading region in terms of
sustainability. Two vehicles are now operating in Denmark's Capital
Copenhagen. The Danish Transport Minister Benny Engelbrecht personally
handed over the two FUSO eCanter to the two well-known Danish
customers "Citylogistik" and "Aarstiderne".

Stuttgart – Daimler Trucks, the world's leading truck manufacturer, sold fewer vehicles in 2019 than in 2018 in a market environment that has been weakening significantly since the summer. In the first eleven months of 2019, sales of 446,800 units by the brands
Mercedes-Benz, FUSO, Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses and BharatBenz were 4 percent lower than in the previous year (January to November 2018: 466,900). Daimler AG will announce the exact sales figures for full-year 2019 at the annual press conference on February 11, 2020. The annual press conference of Daimler Truck AG is scheduled for February 18, 2020.

Stuttgart / Essen –The logistics service provider DB Schenker and FUSO, a Daimler Trucks brand, are expanding their partnership in the field of fully-electric light-duty trucks. Thus DB Schenker took on four additional FUSO eCanter trucks in March for urban short-radius distribution in Paris, Frankfurt and the Stuttgart region. DB Schenker has already been using an eCanter in Berlin since last year and is testing the use of the vehicles in mixed fleets. DB Schenker is now in talks with FUSO about further eCanter vehicles for additional European markets.

Kawasaki / Stuttgart – Daimler Trucks further improves its Japan-based subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and has officially opened the new Product Center building and Design Center at the Kawasaki Plant (K1) today. The new building encompasses the corporate headquarters, R&D and design functions of the company, and is part of a large-scale modernization at MFTBC. Daimler Trucks has invested approx. € 74 Million (94 Oku JPY) since 2017 into this building, known as Campus Plus. The new building offers a modern working environment on 10,000 sqm and is also home of the new, state-of-the-art Design Center.

Reading (Pa.)/Tokyo/Stuttgart – After Penske Truck Leasing received its first fully electrified Freightliner eM2 truck from Daimler Trucks North America in the US end of last year, the company now gets its first FUSO eCanter. Penske plans to operate the light duty trucks from FUSO for urban delivery in California. As an experienced truck manufacturer and through the backing of its parent Daimler Trucks, FUSO can demonstrate its ability of supporting the operation of eCanter trucks through its established parts, service and warranty network of FUSO dealerships.

Stuttgart / Warwick – Logistics specialist New Horizon Logistics Ltd from Warwick in the UK attaches great importance to environmental friendliness and efficiency: For its new 7.5 tonne truck it therefore opted for a Fuso Canter 7C15 Eco Hybrid, a vehicle which scores highly in both of these disciplines. Thanks to the groundbreaking diesel-electric drive technology, New Horizon Logistics has measured the vehicle's fuel consumption at around 11.8 l of diesel per 100 km in automatic driving mode, and a maximum of 15.7 l in manual driving mode. This corresponds to a saving of up to 50 percent compared with the other 7.5 tonne vehicles with conventional diesel drive which the UK logistics specialist deploys as part of its fleet, and which on average consume 23.5 l of diesel.

Stuttgart/Porto –64 percent savings in operating costs - this is the gratifying result of the final analysis of data from customer field trials with eight FUSO Canter E-Cell trucks in Portugal. Apart from the impressive savings in operating costs, the Canter E-Cell also scores points in terms of environmental aspects. No CO2 emissions at the site - reduction by 37 percent compared to diesel, taking into account the current power production in Portugal. Thus, with the pre-production version of the electric-powered Canter, Fuso is on the right track to being able to meet the demand after electric-powered trucks in urban delivery traffic.
